North Ark was founded by David Goulding, who sets the engineering standard every engagement is held to. Each engagement is run by a lead engineer, with a named backup engineer and specialists who join as the work needs them. You meet the people who will work on your environment before the work starts.
David has spent more than 13 years in infrastructure, cloud, networking, security and automation, across estates with thousands of users, around a thousand servers and tens of thousands of endpoints. Before North Ark, that work included:

How we work
Senior engineers, backed by software. Every deployment becomes infrastructure as code, every incident becomes a diagnostic pattern, and every repeated task becomes automation. AI-assisted tooling gathers evidence and drafts changes, and an engineer reviews everything before it goes anywhere near production.
We work business hours by default and agree after-hours cover in writing when an environment needs it.
Who we work with
Organisations that run complex, Microsoft-centred, often hybrid environments, with real security and compliance obligations. The people we usually talk to are CIOs, CTOs, heads of infrastructure and cloud, and CISOs. They have a capable internal team and a list of infrastructure projects that team can't get to. Our focus is industrial, manufacturing, logistics, mining services, construction, professional services, healthcare, financial services and retail, and multi-site businesses.
Where the work happens
North Ark is based in Brisbane, works with organisations across Australia and is a member of the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program. Our engineers are based in Australia. Most of the work is remote. We're on site for cutovers, physical infrastructure and the conversations that go better in the room.
